Not too be a buzz kill but in my opinion propane is not the way to go. The reason I say this is what if you get a small leak you don't know about or any sort of malfunction. KABOOMMM, your going to be cutting welding and grinding in this shop and there are way too many variables that could cause an accident. I would go more along the lines of this HERE or a bit bigger of a scale HERE, safer and decent option. Thats just my two cents, which are not worth much nowadays, lol.

Those look good, NS. K, could your electrical handle running one of these and at the same time running other tools?

Not a bad idea, it should, it's a 100 amp service and my daughter only has lights and outlets in her room. Only concern would maybe running the plasma cutter/welder at the same time, but could just wire it with a plug instead of direct and they can share it.

FWIW I just installed a 1500 W Steibel Eltron unit in the bathroom. It's about 150 sf but it heats it up in about 5 minutes (from 65 to 75). It's only a 12.5 amp unit, it's compact, and you can always get higher current ones for larger areas.

So all my equipment started showing up the last several days.

So I cleaned off the other work bench.

and just threw everything onto the other, this is why I need doors!

I mounted a cleat on the side.

and one along the back wall

I boxed out the far end and added some panels to the sides.

I marked my last piece for the top shelf.

and ripped it down, I need to make something permanent for the table saw to rest on, the welding table works great for large pieces.

I stood back admiring my work.

When I realized my mistake, my drill press wouldn't fit. Son of a &^*%^%

So I ripped it all down.

So I cut a bunch of side panels.

These two large sections will be for the lathes, I don't want metal getting into the wood and don't want wood getting metal, there will be some kind of doors on the front so they can be closed off when not in use.

Added the top shelves, I will pipe the dust collector down through the top.

And made a shallower shelving unit on the end.

Tested the layout of some equipment, way to busy.

Found the spindle sander a new home and added some shelves.

today is clean up day and organization.

The bench is starting to look crowded...time to plan for a bigger shop.
